More information Opening hoursTló Plazores, a historic manor house dating back to the 13th century, is nestled in scenic Val Badia, surrounded by lush greenery. The estate is under the care of the Ties family, who undertook a complete restoration and reopened it in 2000. In the early years, the owners offered a traditional farmhouse menu, embracing the region’s rustic charm. By 2007, however, the culinary concept had evolved to showcase creative dishes inspired by old Ladin family recipes, using fresh ingredients sourced directly from the farm. Since 2016, the restaurant has exclusively served its own farm-raised meats, with all other ingredients sourced from the local farmers’ network, AGRI.COL.ART, co-founded by Tló Plazores. Guests can enjoy their meal in the cosy, wood-panelled spruce parlours, the manor’s 13th/14th-century chapel or on the spacious sun terrace.
The host family
Tló Plazores is run by the husband-and-wife duo Uli and Roman Ties. Uli, often called the “herb witch”, brings a creative flair to traditional cuisine, always experimenting with new flavours. Roman’s grounded, no-nonsense approach perfectly complements Uli’s inventive style, creating a distinctive balance that defines the restaurant’s character. Their sons, André and Jan, are also part of the family team.

Faneshütte mountain hut
The Faneshütte is one of the most popular mountain huts in Val Badia. From the large car park in Pederü, located at the end of the Rautal valley, follow signposted hiking trail no. 7 heading south. The path begins with a slightly steep ascent into the Fanestal valley, offering scenic views of the Parteispitze peak to the south and running along the mountainside. After crossing the forest road multiple times, the trail splits: the left path leads to the Faneshütte mountain hut, while the right leads to the Lavarellhütte mountain hut. Alternatively, you can reach the Faneshütte mountain hut via a slightly longer forest path. Retrace your steps for the return journey.
Starting point: Pederü car park
Duration: 4h 30m
Distance: 13,5km
Elevation difference: 762m
Ritwiesen high plateau
This challenging hike begins in St. Vigil and ascends on a farm trail to Sarjei Hof farm, continuing onward to the Pikolein ridge. From there, follow forest path no. 15, which gently climbs to the Ritwiesen, a small high plateau where you can take a break. The return route descends through steep fields and forests along trail no. 13, leading back to Ciamaor and then returning to St. Vigil.
