Situated just above the village centre of Vöran, the Oberwirt boasts breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. This charming country-style inn serves delicious South Tyrolean cuisine, complemented by a carefully curated and extensive wine list. The Oberwirt is known for its unique blend of traditional and modern dishes, all creatively prepared using selected regional ingredients. A popular speciality is their mountain pine ice cream served with “Schupfnudeln” – thick noodles – among other unique creations. Guests can enjoy these delights on the spacious terrace, in the elegant dining room or in the cosy wood-panelled parlour. Hospitality is at the heart of the Reiterer-Mittelberger family’s approach, now in its second generation of ownership.

A Sunday roast in a Südtiroler Gasthaus

The Sunday roast is a cherished family tradition that is often the highlight of the week. And the Südtiroler Gasthaus Group makes a point of celebrating this culinary tradition every year. From January to March, every Sunday features comforting dishes prepared according to old family recipes. And just like in the past, when the Sunday roast and the after-church stew were weekly fixtures, only local, seasonal ingredients find their way onto your plate.
