+39 0474 678 068The Drumlerhof in Sand in Taufers has a rich history dating back to 1756. Since 1994, this traditional establishment has been run by the Innerhofer-Fauster family, guided by their commitment to the Slow Food philosophy. Here, nothing served comes from the convenience food industry. Instead, they offer homemade alternatives – because they taste better, are ethically responsible, more sustainable and healthier. The menu prioritises gluten-free, lactose-free, vegetarian and vegan dishes made from organic ingredients, catering especially to those with allergies. However, health-conscious food lovers will also appreciate the inventive cuisine. Meals are served in the cosy “Dumlerstuben” dining rooms, where traditional charm blends seamlessly with modern touches.
The host family
Ruth Innerhofer and her husband Stefan took over the Drumlerhof in 1994. Ruth has since gained national recognition for her gluten-free cooking and the cookbooks she has published. Stefan is known for his commitment to sustainable business practices. In 2023, their daughters Franzi and Emma joined the family business, bringing fresh energy and innovative ideas to this forward-thinking establishment.
