The old Kohlern manor house was built in 1870 before being transformed into a mountain inn in 1899 by Josef Staffler, pioneer of the world’s first cable car for passengers. 50 years ago, the inn passed into the ownership of the Schrott family. The restaurant specializes in traditional South Tyrolean platters. The original Art Nouveau veranda boasts a spectacular panoramic view of the surrounding Dolomites and the Val d’Adige Valley below.
