Philosophy & cuisine of the Südtiroler Gasthaus restaurants
Hospitality rooted in quality and tradition
Founded in 2012 by the Hoteliers and Innkeepers Association (HGV) and chef Herbert Hintner, the Südtiroler Gasthaus Group has grown into a symbol of South Tyrolean tavern-style restaurant culture. Today, 29 restaurants across South Tyrol are proud members. The name “Südtiroler Gasthaus” stands for a cosy atmosphere, down-to-earth enjoyment and heartfelt, family-style hospitality.
The way to someone’s heart is through their stomach. And nothing wins hearts quite like authentic South Tyrolean cuisine. Using the freshest seasonal and local ingredients, mostly sourced from nearby farmers or grown on-site, these restaurants bring traditional local specialities to life with a contemporary twist.
From traditional dishes to new creations – at your Südtiroler Gasthaus, everything revolves around culinary enjoyment. That’s a promise! The owners and hosts invite you to enjoy a cosy get-together with delicious food and drink. And there’s always time for a chat!
As we say in the South Tyrolean dialect, “Kehr amol zua!” We’d love to have you!
